The first time I tagged along, I didn’t know the difference between “Sika gear” or Browning gold triggers. I only knew what my dad, grandad, uncles and ole time hunting friends grabbed off the wall or out of the gun cabinet. Most of the old-timers wore red plaid shirts and blue jeans with hands as weathered as their old worn boots. They could tell from ten seconds of watching whether that new guy was a woodsman or someone that just talked a good game. They’d watch how someone held a rifle. They'd notice how they walked through brush. They’d spot the way they rushed over a track, the way they carried their gun, the way they talked too loud when they shouldn’t. “Out here,” the old timers would say,​ "you don’t just hunt. You learn.”

We are here to share the old outdoor traditions but also to educate and help you create new traditions of your own.
